6.1-magnitude quake shakes southern Greek islands

A 6.1 magnitude earthquake has shaken southern Greek islands. The epicenter of the quake early Thursday was in the sea 36 miles north-northeast of Elounda, which is on the northern coast of Crete. It was 43 miles deep, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. There were no immediate reports of damage or injuries.
