China’s Shenzhou 21 astronauts returns to Earth after nearly 7 months in space

Three Chinese astronauts have returned to Earth after spending seven months in space. They completed a handover with another crew earlier this week. Their craft landed in Inner Mongolia on Friday evening. The crew finished tasks like processing experimental data and transferring supplies. They also shared experiences with the Shenzhou 23 crew, who arrived at the space station on Monday. One of the new astronauts will stay for a year. China aims for its first lunar landing by 2030. The U.S. is seen as China’s top space rival, with NASA planning a lunar landing in 2028.
